My name is Nick Cavanagh, and I am a Canmore based photographer. I first began really igniting my passion for photography living in Fort McMurray, Alberta. When I was up there, I loved watching the Aurora Borealis dance across the night sky, and I pulled out my entry level DSLR and a tripod and tried to photograph it, and from there I was hooked.

I love capturing grand, natural landscapes, and showing off the beauty that Canada has to offer. From the vast and endless prairie fields and skies, to the rugged Rocky Mountains, to the Northern Lights, there is no part of Canada’s nature that I don’t enjoy shooting. I love travelling and shooting different subjects and styles: street, wildlife, landscape, adventure. I truly enjoy it all.
